A new methodology of the derivation of minimum hunting plans based on the intensity of forest damage by game was presented at a seminar on 26 April 2023. A comprehensive information on forest damage by game was provided on the bases of the two latest National Forest Inventory cycles, NIL2 (2011-2015) and NIL3 (2016-2020). The main subject of the seminar was the introduction of the principles of the minimum hunting plan derivation as well as an outline of the eventual incorporation of this new methodology into the national legislation.
The following four presentations were given at the seminar:
- Game damage levels based on Czech National Forest Inventory (J. Máslo, in Czech)
- Hunting act amendments, principles of regulation of game population, the derivation of acceptable damage thresholds (K. Turek, in Czech)
- The methodology of minimum hunting plan derivation based on the intensity of forest damage by game (R. Adolt, in Czech)
- An example application of the methodology (M. Lotocký, in Czech)
The seminar was broadcasted online through Teams, see the recording on YouTube (in Czech).
